We hear it a lot when we are in the UConn Huskies basketball king mascot shirt so you should to go to store and get this USA. To be honest, I find it mildly irritating but just ignore it, I know the person means well. I have literally never heard that expression before. I’m an atheist and if anyone does ever say it to me then I certainly won’t get annoyed! Why should I? Probably. There seems to be no end to the number of things that online atheists are annoyed about. Real atheists don’t really care about such things, and certainly don’t spend time writing about it. It doesn’t bother me. The word “bless” is not owned by Christians, or any religion, for that matter. In my experience, there are many ways to be blessed As an atheist, it really bugs me when a fellow atheist does two things happen simultaneously: (a) gets all “evangelical,” and (b) discounts the intellectual abilities of theists, particularly theists’ literacy and ability in science and logic. What do I mean? To me, an “evangelical” atheist is someone who goes around looking for a fight, or somehow attempts to inorganically steer conversations towards the virtues of atheism or the imperfections of theism. As for discounting the intellectual abilities of theists, I note that many (though certainly not all) atheists have this view of theists that Well, the simple answer is “what it says on the box.” I am an atheist, which means I don’t believe in gods, and I like religion, which means that … I like religion.
