It happens easily 99% of the San Francisco Giants Jung Hoo Lee baseball shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this time when I dine out with my wife and kids. The wife and I tend to wear hoodies, I wear sweats or sometimes khakis. The wife wears blue jeans. Wait staff sees us, assumes that any tip would be small because I’m wearing a Power Rangers hoodie, and the wife is wearing a solid color zip-up hoodie, so we don’t shout “we can afford to tip” to look at us. The staff further sees that we have two young children, 3 and 5, then proceed to assume that we probably won’t tip at all because we’re a young couple in our mid 30s with 2 kids. When this happens, we never get our drinks refilled, ketchup is often not brought to the table until we ask for it 6 times. Our food is late (often cold, meals are never brought out together, or at very least the kids’ food first), as we watch several tables who entered after us get their meals first. They also have the full attention of the wait staff (the same waitress who is supposed to be servicing our visit). Their drinks are refilled promptly. Waitresses like that earn every penny of the $0 tip I leave them. I’ve never been chased for a tip after she sees she wasn’t left one. If I do get chased down one of these days, I’ll tell them why they didn’t get a tip.
