I consider the behaviour from Quora on matters like these pure harassment. But of course there’s no way to report that. They might even delete this message, because they don’t appreciate people telling the truth about them. I’m a top writer on Quora. I don’t get any money but I did get a nice Patagonia Quora laptop bag for being a top writer. It is my fervent dream that someone with the contacts or means says, “Gadzooks, what a great writer, we MUST give him a contract!” and like Calgon, takes me away and makes me rich and famous. Hey, a guy can dream can’t he? As of this moment, I have two BNBR warnings under my belt. One was for calling someone a “zealot”. Another was for posting a picture of someone washing a couch. Literally. Someone washing a couch. Like the kind you sit on. With a hose. I’m not sure how either of these purported offenses really fits into a reasonable definition of a violation of niceness or respect, but I do know that my appeals were never accepted, and those two gray marks remain on my otherwise spotless record.
